Where we fit in the website process
The table below is a guide to who typically does the work in each phase of the website lifecycle. The column on the far right shows what we do.
When you start thinking about a new website or doing something with your existing one, your first instinct may be to contact a web developer or designer.
You might assume that they will drive the project and do just about everything for you. They, on the other hand, would like you to be prepared, organised and able to describe your requirements clearly and in some detail. Any differences in expectations may lead to crossed communications, costly misunderstandings and project overruns.
So who fills the gaps? We do.
We talk your language and can collaborate with you and your web developer in a variety of ways.
While some of the larger web companies do provide the full spectrum of services, they are few and far between.
