A word pattern that shows the relationship between the person speaking and people spoken about.

First person. The person doing the speaking. Look for I, me, my, us, our, we.

For example: "All our products go through stringent quality control measures."

Second person. The person being spoken to. Look for you and your.

For example: "You have the assurance of stringent quality control measures."

Third person. The person or organisation being spoken about. Look for it, he, she, his, her, they, their, or a name.

For example: "All Wembley Steel's products go through stringent quality control measures."

Use first and second person to create a personal, friendly tone. People like to read web content written in second person. It seems more relevant and interesting because it implies that the reader (you) is more important than the writer (me).
