A word pattern that shows the relationship between the action (verb) and the main people or things (subject) in a sentence.
When the subject of the sentence performs the action, the verb is in the active voice. When the action is performed upon the subject, the verb is in the passive voice.
Active voice makes written web content shorter, easier to read and more powerful.
"Our products are equipped with water-saving features" is in the passive voice. Something has been done to the products.
"Our products save water" is in the active voice. The products are performing the action.
