Key concepts

If yours is a typical small business site, the important milestones and deliverables in this phase will be similar to the following.

• design concepts for the home page and a content page
• final design that the developer can start integrating into your website
• structure and navigation including menus and sub-menus
• content completion when all pages have text and images

If you are building a large, complex website with, for example, e-commerce applications or systems integration, then expect a correspondingly more detailed schedule of project milestones.
